“A promise must never be broken.”
-Alexander Hamilton
A promise is your word. A promise can be be a life changing decision that can be very important to you or worthy to you. Breaking a promise is like breaking the most valuable thing to your own self. I can view a promise as a favor or a goal I have set that I will determine to reach. By breaking a promise, you have failed your goal as well if its a favor the other(s) too. Therefore, a promise should never be broken. To add on, Alexander Hamilton in this quote is very truthful. Breaking a promise can lead to mistrust, failure of responsibility, failure of fairness, determining a bad label, etc. A promise can be very important to someone, so it shouldn't be broken. Consequences that can lead to a break of promise is failure, lack of importance, your grade, etc. A promise should never be broken and it should be honored as something very important and valuable.

A great example that can follow up this quote is a group project of 4 students. To make the project equally everyone divides the work evenly. To add on with the equality of work given they have also assigned due dates that everyone promise to value and respect. One day that due date came and everyone had their work completed except one team member. This team member broke his promise and ended up trying to complete everything last minute. In result the team all failed their project and earned a very bad grade for everyone. With this break of promise it was an act of CTW, as well it developed a bad label on the individual and poor trustworthy skills.

“Goodness is the only investment that never fails.”
-Henry David Thoreau
You can never go wrong with choosing the right. This quote can apply to Choosing the Right, because it will never fail you. Being CTR will never fail you, but it will bring greatness into your life. Greatness can be represented as goodness in this quote. In this quote by Henry David Thoreau he is stating that doing what is right will never disappoint you in any way and it will benefit you in some way. To add on, Choosing what is right is the way to go to get that goodness feeling. Choosing the Right will lead to positivity and great actions coming your way in life. Goodness can be represented as the positive actions. Their will not be any negative results with CTR. Negative result and no act of goodness can only result from a CTW individual. CTW will only put you in a wrong path and it will give you negative results.
A good example that can follow up to this quote is being in a CTR vs. CTW scenario. Let's say a friend of yours didn’t do her homework, because she was out hanging out with friends the whole weekend. To add on, she didn’t invite you and she asked you if she can copy your homework. In this scenario you can easily commit a CTW action and letting her copy your homework. Or, you can be a CTR person who knows how to distinct right from wrong and tell her you won’t let her copy your homework but you will help her. This is an act of CTR. In result, when your friend finishes their homework you guys feel good for completing the assignment on time and no act of wrong was committed.

“It is our duty to concentrate all our influence to make popular that which is sound and good, and unpopular that which is unsound.”(not good)
-Joseph Smith

In this quote by Joseph Smith it is applying the thought that we should get everything good know. He is indicating to use our power of voice to promote and make know the difference between good and bad. The things that indicate the good is CTR in general. Everything CTR is good and we should all help promote that. To add on, we should discourage any kind of CTW wrong doings. Anything that would be considered good would apply to CTR, anything considered bad would be CTW. Discouraging CTW would help evolves CTR actions. A great example that can follow up this quote is, a student. A student is an individual who is an example for not one person. This student represents himself. School Break Days

Spring Break

During my week off of school I didn’t do much. To add on, I didn’t really go anywhere and I just didn’t really go out. What sums up my week off was gathering with family and have a good time to forget things on our minds. In the beginning of my break I had a routine of studying my vocabulary words to keep the words refreshed in my mind. I would study my words from 5-10 minutes and continue what I was doing before. Also, during my break I would go out with my cousins to different place at the time their parents weren't home. Some places we went were the movies, the park, a basketball court, the mall, etc. Something really cool and new I experienced during my break was meeting new members of the family. During the break my aunt brought home new people, I discovered they're my cousins. To conclude, my spring break was great. Spring Break was a great time to catch up on life and your surroundings. I hope that we have another vacation coming up.

“ I am not bound to win, but I am bound to be true. I must stand with anybody that stands right, and stand with him while he is right, and part with him when he is wrong.”
-Abraham Lincoln
This quote by Abraham Lincoln is saying that he was indeed to try to do his best to reach for what he wants and to help others, but he will not cheat or lie to get what they want. This quote to me means that Abraham Lincoln was a fair and good man. In this quote I can identify a combination of goal setting, fairness, honesty, etc. Abraham Lincoln was a CTR person. To add on, do what is right no matter the scenario. Not everything good will come naturally and you will face obstacles, but you must set to achieve. Hard work pays off at the end of the day. Abraham Lincoln was a CTR person who advocated for himself and for others. As stated in the quote,” I must stand with anybody that stand right, and stand with him while he is right, and part of him when he is wrong”. Abraham Lincoln was a man of word, and he was a good man. Do whats right, because you know it’s right and stand up for what you believe in.

A great example that can follow up this quote is Abraham Lincoln himself. As one of our U.S presidents it must have not been so easy for him. As if I was correct, he did have to fight and advocate for what he wanted to do and reach that level he desired. Becoming president of the U.S isn’t an easy job. Abraham Lincoln is a great example to follow up his quote, he was a man of word who stood by anyone side. Being a CTR person can lead to greatness ahead.

“Character is higher than intellect.”
-Ralph Waldo Emerson
Character is something that also really does apply to being a CTR person. In this quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson, he is stating that character isn’t just recognized for how much you know. Character for a individual are the labels that are written and applied. This quote applies that your character will always have a greater power than how much you know. You can be the smartest person alive, but that lack of character you have won’t really benefit your intelligence. Character in a person is choosing the right qualities. For example; responsibility, integrity, fairness, being nice, respectful, etc. Having a good character is one of the most important qualities an individual can have. Choosing the right will help build that character. To add on, having that character will lead you to committing positive actions. Choosing the Right will provide equal balance of intelligence and character.

A great example that can follow up is applying to a new job. There are two people your soon to be boss has eyes on. Out of all applicants his eyes are on these two people. One of the applyers is a very intelligent man who will run things his own way that can greatly benefit the company. But, the other is also a very intelligent woman who is very nice and respectful of others opinion. To conclude, the women gets the job. This women was chosen over the man, because she has good character qualities and has the same intelligent as the other. Everyone is equal, but everyone has their own set of well-being. Choosing the Right will benefit you in good character and knowledge.

“I trust that my hard work will pay off.”
-Tyler Paws
Hard work pays off. Life is full of problems and stressors all around, but that can be reduced with time and dedication. In this quote what they are saying is that, effort you put into something will be what you receive. As said before, what you give is what you get. Hard work is setting goals and reaching them. Setting goals is aiming to that goal to reach what you want, but with time and effort. Knowing the benefit of one goal will not stop you from obtaining those obstacle to reach what you want. Hard work pays off and you feel good about it. Applying to hard work quality will be developed or qualities will be used. For example; determination, self confidence, perseverance, not giving up, etc. Life isn’t easy, so you won’t obtain what you want easily. You must work to earn what you want, it is not always the easiest.
A great example that can follow up this quote is my own life. I personally can say I follow the same path of our presenter, Janeth. I obtain my daily life and what I want to accomplish in my life planning goals journal. My life planning goals journal is my daily planner with a set of goals for each day, week and year. I can proudly say, this journal has really help me to be in the place I am today. For example, I am rank #1 in my class, I have straight A’s, I am confident, I am involved in sports, etc. This is only my freshmen year and I strive to do much more in the future. Some future goals I have for myself is to join leadership and make a change within myself and what's around me.
