Thanksgiving & Thanksgiving Day

Thanksgiving and Thanksgiving Day
Thanksgiving is a day where we celebrate things and how thankful we are for what we have today. Thanksgiving began in 1621, when the Plymouth colonists and Pilgrims had a meal. In 1620 a small ship held the Plymouth colonist carrying more than 100 passengers to seek a new living and freedom. In their journey, they had a weird crossing that eventually led them to the Pilgrims that were located in Massachusetts. The meal occurred when, Pilgrims encountered each other over a discussion over land which was the meal know today as Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving has been celebrated for centuries, but it wasn't really recognize until the 1800’s. In 1863 of the time of the Civil War Abraham Lincoln made Thanksgiving Day to be celebrated every November. The history behind this is known as Thanksgiving, but Thanksgiving Day is a national holiday in the U.S. and Canada celebrate to give thanks for their blessings and living throughout the year. Thanksgiving day isn’t celebrated everywhere because of the impact it has on an individual. For example, beliefs.
