Student Success Statement

“ I am not bound to win, but I am bound to be true. I must stand with anybody that stands right, and stand with him while he is right, and part with him when he is wrong.”
-Abraham Lincoln
This quote by Abraham Lincoln is saying that he was indeed to try to do his best to reach for what he wants and to help others, but he will not cheat or lie to get what they want. This quote to me means that Abraham Lincoln was a fair and good man. In this quote I can identify a combination of goal setting, fairness, honesty, etc. Abraham Lincoln was a CTR person. To add on, do what is right no matter the scenario. Not everything good will come naturally and you will face obstacles, but you must set to achieve. Hard work pays off at the end of the day. Abraham Lincoln was a CTR person who advocated for himself and for others. As stated in the quote,” I must stand with anybody that stand right, and stand with him while he is right, and part of him when he is wrong”. Abraham Lincoln was a man of word, and he was a good man. Do whats right, because you know it’s right and stand up for what you believe in.

A great example that can follow up this quote is Abraham Lincoln himself. As one of our U.S presidents it must have not been so easy for him. As if I was correct, he did have to fight and advocate for what he wanted to do and reach that level he desired. Becoming president of the U.S isn’t an easy job. Abraham Lincoln is a great example to follow up his quote, he was a man of word who stood by anyone side. Being a CTR person can lead to greatness ahead.
