Student Success Statement

“Many think that the short term gain will be worth the long term pain, but it isn’t. In addition, using steroids is cheating, and there is nothing worse in sports than a cheater. Don’t do it.”
-George Mitchell
Cheating is bad in every way. There is nothing good you will get out of cheating for a long-period of time.In this quote he is saying that the short term action you did is not worth the long term feeling you will get. To restate that using cheating, it is not worth to cheat to feel that moment of joy and that long time feeling of guilt. Cheating is being CTW. This quote can connect to our previous quote about cheating. To add on, this quote can also connect to sports. Nowadays we teenagers are the audience to learn and be ready for upcoming life. To add on, because we are teenagers we desire to be in sports. This quote also was direct to athlete, because an athlete who cheats is the worst thing can happen in a team. An athlete cheating is a combination of so much that creates disappointment. Cheating is something harmful that can affect your upcoming actions, but eventually you will get caught. Never cheat!

The video that was shared with us was a great example that followed up to this quote. In the video the audience was a group of young people. The young people were the audience of a presenter who is encouraging them and informing them that cheating should never be the answer. In this video they used famous athletes and explain why it is wrong. To add they provided free gift to keep them in mind of what is the best thing to do.

High School Basketball

Vanguard vs. Gainesville Basketball

Vanguard choose the right. Vanguard choose a characteristic of CTR. What Vanguard di to Gainesville High was something very heartwarming and right. What happened in this short video was a protest between two players at Vanguard Private High School. Vanguard is a well high educated private school, and Gainesville is a juvenile. The basketball team at Gainesville juvenile High had an away game too Vanguard Private High School. The good deed Vanguard did was fill up their gym with a crowd that supported and were fans for Vanguard and for Gainesville. Gainesville juvenile basketball has a basketball team with no support. At their home base, when games occurred there was an empty gym. Out of all the players in this juvenile basketball team, only once a player's parents came to support. Vanguard knew that, because it was Gainesville away game they knew they would have no support. Two players at Vanguard High voice was heard that they saw it unfair to have an away team knowing they wouldn't have support and play against them. Vanguards two basketball players wanted to play fair, no one like playing with an empty gym. As the game day arrived, Gainesville High arrived to a full gym with their own supporters and their own cheerleaders with their posters around the gym. What Vanguards did was a way of sportsmanship.
