Student Success Statement

“Goodness is the only investment that never fails.”
-Henry David Thoreau
You can never go wrong with choosing the right. This quote can apply to Choosing the Right, because it will never fail you. Being CTR will never fail you, but it will bring greatness into your life. Greatness can be represented as goodness in this quote. In this quote by Henry David Thoreau he is stating that doing what is right will never disappoint you in any way and it will benefit you in some way. To add on, Choosing what is right is the way to go to get that goodness feeling. Choosing the Right will lead to positivity and great actions coming your way in life. Goodness can be represented as the positive actions. Their will not be any negative results with CTR. Negative result and no act of goodness can only result from a CTW individual. CTW will only put you in a wrong path and it will give you negative results.
A good example that can follow up to this quote is being in a CTR vs. CTW scenario. Let's say a friend of yours didn’t do her homework, because she was out hanging out with friends the whole weekend. To add on, she didn’t invite you and she asked you if she can copy your homework. In this scenario you can easily commit a CTW action and letting her copy your homework. Or, you can be a CTR person who knows how to distinct right from wrong and tell her you won’t let her copy your homework but you will help her. This is an act of CTR. In result, when your friend finishes their homework you guys feel good for completing the assignment on time and no act of wrong was committed.

Thanksgiving Break

Thanksgiving Week

Over the Thanksgiving Break I work on my assignments, watch T.V., hanged out with friends and family, and gave thanks to what I have today. Over the week I went to the park and travel by road to San Bernardino to visit my family for thanksgiving dinner. I met new family members i had never met before, it made our thanksgiving dinner even greater to spend it with new family. On a Saturday night, it was a lazy rainy day at home with the family and we had Movie Night. I remember that we watched Batman vs. Superman, Mr.Right,etc. Besides that, I stayed moving.  With time to time i would meet up with cousins and friend and we would go to the park and just play and run around, later we would clean up. For example; we played volleyball, basketball, and we just ran around. It was great, later throughout the day we would pick up bottles and cans to recycle them. A personal CTR experience I faced was helping out some neighbors and help clean up the park a little bit. My neighbors are constructing and painting around their home and I went to go help them out. Of course, homework was assigned during the break. I was given to do 3 essays, read a book, create a pamphlet, research on different careers, and create a lab report. I did not procrastinate and i finished early throughout the week. The book I read was called Nights. The book Nights was based on a personal experience as a Jew to live in concentration camp and experiencing death of family members and other victims. This book was very impactful and it made me thankful for having the freedom I have today, food and water, shelter, and rights as a human being. History is history and it shall not be repeated. It was a great time to relax, but still keep knowledge of what we learned in school.Image result for thanksgiving break

STUDENT SUCCESS STATEMENT

"Right is right, even if everyone is against it; and wrong is wrong, even if everyone is for it" -William Penn
This statement is clearly stating, what is correct is the correct and what isn't, isn't. This quote by William brings a meaning to actions in our everyday life. Our world isn't perfect, but we can make changes little by little. The audience to this quote is every living person. The actions we commit today affect who we are in the future. Choosing the Right gives you the best result. The correct thing to do is always the correct thing to do. What individual would want to live in a world surrounded by bad, bad is bad. Today the “cool” things are usually the bad things. These considered “cool” actions are nowhere awesome. No matter what doing the right is the right, even if everyone is against it.

A great example to follow up this quote are everyday seeings and actions we see around us. A good action, the right action is completing your homework. Completing your homework and turning it in when it's due is a way of choosing the right. Choosing the Right will bring positivity towards you.According to Williams quote the right is right is Choosing the Right. Choosing the Right is the big whole assumption for right is right. Beside the correct thing to do, bad is bad. Bad is bad even if everyone sees it as the best and coolest option. A great example, the opposite of homework. When you don’t do your homework it's a step to choosing the wrong. Choosing the wrong is choosing the bad. An individual who does not do their homework with have negative affects and them and will prohibit a well future for them. Not turning in your homework can already prepare you for a test, lower your grade down, not increase your knowledge, etc. No matter what choose the right because it's the correct thing to do.

Student Success Statement

"Don't sacrifice what you want most for what you want now. Write down what you want most and see it often." Peter Vidmar
This quote relates what we are personally doing at the moment, writing in our goals journals goals we would like to accomplish. Peter is a Gold Olympic champion with scores of perfect ten's.What this quote is stating is when you are at the moment don't sacrifice to much effort to try to get to a really high level, with time and a daily reminder what you want the most for yourself or others will eventually occur. What you want to earn and get to takes time. What his statement states to me is that what you want the most for yourself shouldn't be sacrificed right now to get to the top. As a goal  setter i recommend to take the time and patient to continue giving your effort to do your best. The other part to Peters quote is as well very well stated to do your best to achieve the best. As his personal strategy what he did was basically write his own goal to become an Olympic champion and a gold medalist with perfect ten's. With time and patients, Peter was able to accomplish.Seeing his own personal strategy it is evidence of what we are doing now that can help us in the future. Sacrifice you time, effort, and patients and you will succeed and achieve what you really want in te future with a daily reminder.
A great example to represent Peter's quote is our educational life. Every week we attend school four to five days a week, we focus on different assignments, and we are given assignments to work on. Following on, those assignments are your preparation and practice before a quiz or test that you never wish to fail on. As for personal experience, i have a daily reminder that i see everyday to remind me to do my best and give my best to do the best i can in my test. As time fly's we sacrifice our time and determination to stay committed to what is asked of me to do better in school and in my future. As for this example, you should give your time and effort to school itself to do the best and achieve the best in the future. Right now you sacrifice your time and effort to achieve the best, with that commitment and daily reminder you have for yourself will give you that goal you have set yourself. That goal will be achieved and you will be successful in your school work, when you graduate, and your future.

Obedience

"When obedience become our goal, it is no longer an irritation; instead of a stumbling block, it becomes a building block"
This quote is so forward and the key to do and achieve the best. Obedience is our goal to not become something annoying to us. Obedience is the key to life and success in my opinion. Without obedience we wouldn't have learn, we wouldn't have achieve, we wouldn't have made it this far to where we are today. Listening is obedience, doing the positive things others ask you to do is obedience, staying away from the bad to go to the good is obedience, etc. Obedience is our main goal in life to accomplish more and bring success. This quote by James E. Faust is very correct and true in life. Without obedience we keep creating that block bigger and bigger that keeps us from obeying and doing the right. These blocks that James refer too can be bad and good. The more good, obedience, and choosing the positive we do the more closer we are to breaking those building up blocks in front of us that block our way to success.
Our everyday life deals with obedience. Without obedience we wouldn't learn, we be in the wrong paths, we would be choosing the wrong, and we would be one step backwards from our future and success. Writing this Student Success statement, i myself don't have the need to do this, but i am obedient and i obey. A great example of obedience is school. I obey and do what i am asked in school. For example; homework, classwork, assignments, projects, collaboration with others, being respectful, etc. I have no need to do this, but i don it because i know that obedience is the key. Obedience is what brings me knowledge and i learn new things to be one step closer to qualify for high school graduation, to qualify to do well in my future in high, to just do and know what i am expected in life. Obedience is following others positive directions and saying to help us do well and get one step closer in our future success. Education is also key for my future success and without obeying and doing what is asked at school i know that my future ain't going to be so bright in the future.
